Mayor Marjorie Mohler, seeking a second term as Yountville's directly elected Mayor, faces Joe Tagliaboschi, the town's former public works director, who was appointed to a Town Council seat in 2022 and then fell short of winning election to keep it in 2024.

Yountville -- a council-manager town of about 3,400 residents in Napa County, per the 2020 Census -- has a 5-member Town Council: an at-large Mayor, elected separately and directly by the town's voters (not chosen among councilmembers, as in some neighboring cities), plus four Council Members, all on staggered 4-year terms.

Three of the five seats are up this November: the Mayor's seat and two of the four Council seats. Marjorie Mohler

Mohler was elected Mayor on November 8, 2022, after serving on the Town Council since 2008 across multiple re-elections, per the town's own official biography page. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in microbiology from the University of Kansas and did graduate work at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her career began at UC Riverside in 1977; she joined Genentech in 1984, then worked with Johnson & Johnson on pharmaceutical development, before founding her own drug-development consulting firm, Ciencia Group, LLC, in 1999. She currently serves on the Cal Cities Environmental Quality Policy Committee, the Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Board, and the Napa Valley Transportation Authority. Her county ballot designation this year is "Mayor."

16 years on the Council, plus one term as Mayor, and a science/regulatory career; sits on regional water and transportation boards touching Yountville directly.

Trade-offs

A referendum on her single term as Mayor and long council tenure; no 2026 platform statement in her own words was found beyond her official biography.

Keep in mind

She has not run unopposed -- Tagliaboschi, a former town department head, is a genuine challenger with institutional knowledge of Town Hall.

Joe Tagliaboschi

Tagliaboschi is identified by the Press Democrat's own staff reporting as Yountville's former public works director, who was appointed to a Town Council seat in 2022 and then fell short of winning election to keep that seat in 2024. His county ballot designation this year is "City Manager" -- California's ballot-designation rules require it to reflect his current principal profession, but this dataset could not independently confirm which city or town he currently serves, and no campaign site or 2026 platform statement was found.
