Dave Min is a Democrat and the sitting Representative for this district since 2025, in his first term. Before Congress he was a UC Irvine law professor who studied banking and housing policy, and he worked as an enforcement attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also served in the state Senate, where he chaired the committee on natural resources and water.
Min says he cannot be bought and is focused on cleaning up corruption in Washington. As a state senator, one of his bills became the first law in the world to recognize reproductive coercion as domestic violence. Another banned gun and ammunition sales on state property, the first law of its kind in the country.
He promises to keep fighting for affordable housing, climate action, and small business support. He also says he will keep pushing to end stock trading by members of Congress and to hold the Trump administration accountable.
Jenny Rae Le Roux
Jenny Rae Le Roux is a Republican entrepreneur and investor. She ran for California governor in the 2021 recall election before this campaign.
