Three candidates are running for South San Francisco's District 3 council seat: incumbent Buenaflor "Flor" Nicolas, and challengers Sophia Cyris and Melanie Olson. Whoever gets the most votes wins -- there's no runoff.

The seat carries a 4-year term on South San Francisco's 5-member City Council: city ordinances, the budget, land use, and appointing the city manager, alongside four other district councilmembers.
