This person would hold one of Hercules's five at-large City Council seats: city ordinances, the budget, and land use for this San Pablo Bay city of about 26,000. A 4-year term, decided by whichever two candidates get the most votes -- no ranked-choice voting or June primary is documented for Hercules. The council selects its own Mayor and Vice Mayor annually from among its own members rather than electing either directly.

Four candidates are running for Hercules's two open City Council seats: incumbent Dion Bailey, plus challengers Preet Sidhu, John Delgado, and Adrena Breckenridge. The two highest vote-getters win -- no runoff.
