A 4-year term, staggered so only some seats are up in a given November -- this cycle it's District 1, District 2, and the separately elected City Clerk; the Mayor and Districts 3 and 4 are not on this ballot.

Dixon's District 2 council seat is a two-person race: incumbent councilmember Thom Bogue, a business owner, is seeking another term against challenger Christina M. Cerna, an education compliance specialist. Both filed by Aug. 7, 2026, and the contest goes straight to the November 3 ballot -- Dixon's city council races have no June primary.

Thom Bogue is the incumbent District 2 councilmember; his ballot designation is "Councilmember / Business Owner." He has owned Dixon's First Choice Automotive since 2006 and moved to the city in 1995. A 2014 Daily Republic profile, published during a Solano County supervisor bid, described him as Dixon's Vice Mayor at the time and recounted that, as a child, he survived the 1978 Jonestown mass-poisoning in Guyana before eventually settling in Dixon.
