Ray Marquez

Ray Marquez is the incumbent District 1 councilmember and the council's current Vice Mayor. First elected in a March 2013 special election, he has been re-elected three times since (2014, 2018, 2022). Before his council service he sat on the city's Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission, and was an elected board member of the Chino Valley Independent Fire District. He retired from a 28-year career with the Santa Fe Springs Fire Department in 2009 and is a California-licensed Realtor and Broker, per the city's own biography.
